Easter 2017

Today was a quieter Easter than what we are used to.  I actually got to take time to make a new dessert, Nutella Mousse Mini Pies!  They were delicious.
Shared them with the next door neighbor.  Too many for Clif and I to consume.  They appreciated the gesture.

Levi had himself a little Easter Egg hunt.  He is smart.  He picks them up, looks to see if there is anything in them.  We didn't put anything in them, so he wasn't interested.  He'd just throw them back on the ground!

Or, he would kick them.
What a character!

Chloe had a little hunt of her own back home.  They weren't able to visit.  Michael only had Sunday off.  Too far to travel for such a short amount of time.  They sent a video to share.  Unfortunately, I cannot post it on here as theirs is listed as private.

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter!

A Day at the Park

After experiencing 96 degree weather earlier in the week (yes, in April!), Levi and I headed to the park.  I have lots of outdoor toys to play with.  Being Clif is cleaning out the shed and putting in new shelves for our storage, it was not safe for Levi to play in the yard.

This particular park has a nice field outlined with live oaks which haven't fully matured.
Levi tried his hand at golf.  He didn't quite get the concept of how to hold the putter.  He did his best though.

Better yet, watch the video.  If you listen closely, you will hear him count before he tries to hit it.  After several attempts, he will find it easier to just kick the ball!  It made me laugh!!!

Amber had bought a kite.  The wind was not consistent enough to keep the kite in the air.  Levi did enjoy a few attempts.

 Enjoy the video.

We had many more games to play, all made of plastic of course:
horseshoes, ring toss, kickball, and a net to catch butterflies.  Unfortunately, we didn't see any to catch.  We still had a fun afternoon. Grandkids..so much fun! 😎
