Chloe Time

Michael and Valerie celebrated their 4th Wedding Anniversary with a trip to the Florida Keys.   That meant I had 5 days with Chloe!  We had an enjoyable time together.

We played with Play-Doh.



We played with beans.



We even horse played on Grandma's bed!



We sure had a great time together! :)

Matt and Kalley's Wedding

Monday, Nov 2 was Matt and Kalley's big day.  They got married at the same park in which Matthew proposed to Kalley.  How romantic is that?  Anyway, it was a beautiful day.  I was thankful for the numerous oak trees because if it wasn't for the amount of shade they provided, it would have been a bit toasty outside!

Kalley's sister owns a photography studio at which Kalley works.  So the better quality pictures you see in this blog are courtesy of Michelle Lawson Photography.



A few shots were taken before the ceremony.









It was a simple wedding.  No wedding party, just the bride and groom.


 Kalley's dad presided the ceremony.

While we ate hors d'oeuvres at the reception hall, Kalley and Matt had additional photos taken on the grounds.

The reception was fun.  All the typical events took place.

It was very touching that they included a memory photo that was taken last year with my dad.  I know he was looking forward to attending their wedding.



It was a nice to have a celebration to continue the circle of life.

I loved how they decorated their car.  It just flowed with the theme.



Congratulations Matt and Kalley!  May your marriage be blessed all the days of your lives. :)

Happy Halloween! (Revised 12/17/15)

Halloween is my favorite holiday.  It is also Valerie's!  She has taken costume making to a whole new level.

This year, she made Chloe a cupcake and she was the baker.  How cute is that.  She found it on Pinterest.  It is made from a lampshade.  Who knew!!!!



Levi came over in his little "BOO" onesie.



 Halloween is also Amber's birthday.  To celebrate, her wish was to carve a bunch of pumpkins.

We put Levi on the back patio while Stephen and Amber carved their pumpkins.





The Tricker Treaters always come early.  I burst out laughing when I saw the witch sweeping the abundant acorns that littered the sidewalk!  The kids had more fun collecting those for their treats instead of getting the candy.



The house was pretty festive after the carved pumpkins were added to the décor.



Levi ended up in a Mickey Mouse costume.  Unfortunately, I didn't even think to take a picture with my camera.  I was too busy trying to get a good shot for Amber using her camera instead!  Oh well, we had a good time. :)

Surprise!  Amber emailed a picture of Levi in his Mickey Mouse costume.  How adorable. :)

A long weekend

Every year around the third week in October, Orange County Schools has a 4 day weekend.  I decided to change up the routine and visit Michael, Valerie, and Chloe in Tallahassee.  Michael, Chloe, and I visited The Tallahassee Museum.  It is all about Florida!

They have many native animals in large areas to observe.







They even had albino squirrels.  I had never seen those before.





My dresser and end table from high school matched perfectly with Chloe's bed.  It is wonderful that she was able to inherit something from Great Grandpa Miller!





I enjoyed my couple days with them.  Although we didn't do much, it's always fun to spend time playing with your grandchild!

One Curious Dude

Levi is very alert.  He hears you talking, and will stretch around to be part of the conversation.

Fall is in the Air

The Halloween decorations had been put up, and although not cool enough, it was at least pleasant enough to be outside and not sweat to death.  We dusted off Chloe's swing and despite the color, Levi loves it just as much.

Boys and their Legos

Stephen has always enjoyed his model trains and Legos.  He was out in the shed when he noticed a tub labeled Stephen.  He became a kid once again when he spied....LEGOS!  Levi in tow, it didn't take him long to start building.



Of course after about 15 minutes Levi needed a change.  Grandpa to the rescue.



And Stephen is satisfied with a job well done.
