Central Florida through the lense

This past week the Country has been seeing bizarre weather, Florida included.  We went from a high of 48 on Friday, to 68 on Saturday, 80's on Sunday.  Now Tuesday, the high was 46.  Good grief!  Those that live in Florida, or have lived in Florida know that in the winter months, you MUST have 2 wardrobes...1 for winter and 1 for summer!

In any event, Clif and I headed out Saturday even though it was overcast (as it has been most of the past 2 weeks) in search of some interesting pictures.  We went to our old romping grounds of good ol' Moss Park.

This view from the boat dock and fishing pier is near the relocated campground in the back of the park.  Campers can keep their boats moored rather than driving clear up to the front entrance.  The park has over 50 campsites now, up from about 20 when we started camping there 20 years ago.

One of many hiking trails you can enjoy.

Unbeknownst to us, they have Christmas decorations throughout the park.  It was quite festive.

This is the canal that links the 2 lakes in the front of the park near the original boat ramps which have since been renovated.

He went downtown one evening, I think this was New Year's night to Lake Eola in Orlando.

On Sunday, we ventured out to Celebration.  They have a 1 mile one way boardwalk through a nature preserve area.  It was teeming with wildlife.  We will be returning to Celebration with our bikes.  There were so many trails to explore.  We must have walked about 4 miles by the time we finished.
We were back to sunny skies.  So many animals were taking advantage of the Florida Sunshine!

I am glad Clif is enjoying his new hobby.  It gives me an opportunity to observe when we are hiking instead of just concentrating on getting from point A to point B. Now he gets to take pictures of all that I see! :)
