Fall Foliage

On Saturday Dec 20, I was finally able to get out for Christmas shopping.  Although I had bought all gifts online to send to Madison, I still needed to get gifts for the locals.  As I was driving around, actually during the whole month of December, I noticed how brilliant the leaves were.  They were actually changing colors like they do in the northern states!  I don't ever remember seeing such vibrant colors of yellows, reds, and oranges.   But today of all days, when I traveled down Forsythe Road, I thought I was driving down a street in another state.  Then it occurred to me, it's the last day of Fall.  It was too late to get the pictures this day, but I did return to the location on Sunday to snap a few of the rare Fall Foliage in Florida.

If you are wondering what the big deal is.  Florida is known for leaves changing from green to brown, drop off trees, then back to green with new growth.  We rarely get to see a variety of colors like was seen this year.  How wonderful is that?!  We had a mini Fall after all!
