The Sunday after my Dad's funeral was Kalley's Bridal Shower. She didn't expect anyone from our side of the family to attend under the circumstances, but I thought I'd go because I had already RSVP'd that I would attend, and it would be a continuation of the circle of life! I am glad I went. It was fun, and it was nothing like I had ever quite experienced before. The theme was an "English Tea Party" in which we were all encouraged to wear hats. Yes, I sort of splurged. I found a hat for $4.99 at a local store in Ft. Lauderdale that matched my attire. This was so outside my box, but it was fun nonetheless.
In any event, the house was transformed into a Kalley Wonderland.
We played a variety of games, one which has become a favorite is creating the best bridal gown from toilet paper. I tell you guests are becoming pros at this!
After the games, Kalley opened her gifts. She was VERY blessed because she got almost everything on her registry. When I went to order something for her wedding gift, there were only 4 items left to choose from. That is amazing.
What a wonderful end to an emotional weekend. :)
