Mother's Day 2016

Mother's Day was celebrated with Clif, Stephen, Amber, and Levi.  We went to Moss Park for a picnic dinner.  We arrived late afternoon and the weather was perfect!


                  

Levi was happy to be out and about.  His shirt had the perfect saying for the day, "Today is going to be an adventure!" And that it was. :)



Clif stayed behind to get dinner ready while we explored the park.



What's this?  Sand?



Oh.....SAND!  That lasted until he decided he would try to eat it.  Everything goes into his mouth.



Amber took Levi's 10 month photo shoot while we were there.  I am eagerly awaiting her edited pictures so I can post.  They look like they'll be cute.

Mother Sandhill Crane with her colt.  Yes, that is right, baby sandhill cranes are called colts because of their long legs.

Doe spooked by unexpected visitors....

...and her fawn trying to catch up.  The fawn looked like a little chihuahua running after her.

I wish I had experience like those wildlife photographers to have been able to have gotten a great still frame action shot.  Instead, in my excitement, you get the blur. :(

And Clif and his mom.  Her birthday was Mother's Day.  Prayers were lifted up on her behalf during the intercessory prayers at Mass.
