Once we realized our mistake, we did the next best thing, and planned to celebrate with him before we left. Stephen, Amber, and Levi came over and we had a wonderful time. We started with dinner. Levi is now eating table foods.
I had made his birthday cake, including the icing from scratch! Those that know me know I used boxed cake and ready made frosting.
We sang to him. Notice he's so excited!
Hmm, what's this?
Give me more!!!! I must admit, we all had more than one piece each. The cake and frosting was DELICIOUS!
Now onto the presents.
He seemed to enjoy what we got him.
While we were on vacation, we made sure we were in a town so we'd have cell service to be able to do Face Time during his "official" party. The timing was perfect because we were able to sing Happy Birthday just before he got to experience cake for the second time.

His theme was Daniel Tiger, and they celebrated poolside.
He got lots more presents.
Amber made their t-shirts. I thought they were adorable!
Even though I am not one for technology, nor am one to really appreciate it, I can honestly say that I was glad that it is available because without it, we wouldn't have been able to be a part of his 1st birthday celebration. Congratulations Levi! We love you. :)
