Pineapples

This year we have 7 pineapples growing in our yard. Why so many?  I cut the heads off pineapples bought in the store, put them in a bowl of water for 2 weeks, then plant them within our landscaping.  It is surprising to see just where a pineapple plant will fit.

Pineapples many times don't ripen according to our schedule.  We go away for vacation, or a weekend only to come home to an eaten pineapple discarded next to the plant.  In other words, we are in competition with the squirrels and raccoons.  When I got home from the Bridal Shower, Clif brings to my attention there are ripe pineapples ready to be picked.

How exciting I actually got 3!  Boy were they sweet because they were able to fully ripen on the plant.  Amber was excited.  I shared them with her.  Levi even scarfed down his serving!  :)

Now my next hope is that I will also get to enjoy the remaining ones still yet to ripen.
