3rd stop

I am now at Diane and Jimmy's in North Carolina.  It is nice a cool up here.  The lows are in the upper 40's and the highs in the upper 60's.

Diane and I went on a hike (or rather a stroll) today at Bass Lake in Blowing Rock.  I let her use my hiking sticks to see if it helped relieve stress on the knees.  She was surprised at the difference.  I think she will be getting a pair of her own pretty soon!

Anyway, enjoy the pictures.

Bass Lake

There were a total of 3 goslings.

Our destination is the Cone Manor Estate.
By the way, when we got there, we were
pleasantly surprised to know the second floor
was open!  We have never seen that before.

On the way back, took a side trip
to see the Apple Barn.

Who knew there would be cows in the field?

We got a fisherman to take our picture.

We asked if he was having any luck.
He said, "Not as much as yesterday."

I think he had a pretty good catch!
Tomorrow, I am going to take Diane and Jim to some of the easier hikes Clif and I have done on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We will have to go early.  Rain is forecasted
to arrive by noon.
