Hiking Around

Today we went out and about to hike some easy trails.  We did the Flatrock Trail on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Then the Linville Viaduct Trail.  Finally, a part of the Boone Fork Trail.
We saw 3 deer on the trail.

Diane and Jim did well.

The flowers were in full bloom.

Grandfather Mountain hidden by a cloud.
(Nothing new!)

A hiker on the trail showed us a picture of a black bear they had seen on the Parkway just 6 minutes away approaching the Linville Viaduct.

The new bridge that was put in for the Mountain to Sea Trail from the Boone Fork Trail.  It was just built in August of 2016.
No wonder why I didn't remember it!
We hiked there July 2016.

We had such a great day.  Jimbo was excited!
He got in more than 14,000 steps!!!
