Next stop...

Being we were going from Tallahassee, Clif decided he'd like a more scenic route to Minnesota.  We decided to go up Hwy 61 through Missouri and Iowa. Valerie had made a comment that she had not been that far west. That set my mind in motion that we should take the opportunity to see some sights as we'd have a least a couple hours to spare. We didn't have enough time to stop at the Arch in St. Louis, but I did point it out to Valerie on our way by.  It was then I realized we'd be in Hannibal by lunch time so I called my childhood friend Nancy who lives in Quincy in hopes she could hook up with us for lunch.  Although that didn't work out, we did have a nice short sightseeing venture in Mark Twain's hometown.

It was gorgeous weather, especially eating lunch under the shade tree.  Clif had an opportunity to exercise his photography skills.  It was a win-win for all (except I wish I could have seen Nancy.  So I guess almost a win-win!)
